American Football has the offense and defense line up opposite of each other at the place the last play ended. When the play begins again, the players oppose each other on the line of scrimmage. In this event, the defender jumped over the line of scrimmage to block a kicked ball. Although this move is not considered legal, it was an impressive jump and he was able to recover the ball and run it all the way back for a touchdown. Even though it wasn't legal, do you think the score should have counted since it was such an impressive act of athleticism?
The player has possession of the football and has tucked it safely in the crook of his right arm. He evades the defense with quick footwork. The defense is pursuing the runner. The runner escapes. Does he make a touchdown?
This is American Football. Just like soccer (what Americans call futbol), there is an offense and defense. The team in blue is the offense. They want to gain yards until they score a touchdown. The boys in white are defense. They want to protect their goal and keep the white team from advancing. Which side do you like?
